Mr. Elden gave me a happy surprise today. He took his first couple steps. He first did it in the kitchen around 8:30 a.m., when I placed him on the ground. I took a couple video shots. This one is the best of them. He only takes about 2-3 steps and then plops back down, but he is well on his way. I’m really in trouble now. LOL!Â
I just talked to Den on the phone, he mentioned that yesterday he was bridging from one couch to the other, but I was so busy being lazy yesterday, that I didn’t quite notice.

Â
He actually turned 10 months last Thursday, May 25, but I never got around to posting anything. Can you believe he is almost 1 year old? I really can’t believe it myself.Â
His favorite vegetable is zucchini, but will pretty much eat most that I give him. I just introduced him to peanut butter this morning. He had a tiny bit from my fingers and I spread it on bagel for him. He is starting to refuse baby food, and pretty much prefers food that he can hold, like toasted bagels, little chicken pieces. And when he is done eating, he will usually spit out by doing raspberries at my face. Nice huh?
He goes up and down the stairs and he his starting to climb over things.Â

Memorial day weekend was nice, except the fact, that I had terrible allergies all day yesterday. We bbq’d in the early evening, and ate tons of sausage, hamburger, steak, and korean short ribs. I pretty much lounged all day long, except for the little walk that we took around the neighborhood.Â
Â
Here it is finally!!! This is week 2 {layers} and week 4 {windows, doors and niches}.

FINALLY!!! Next project on hand is to make a layout. Sheesh, I really miss scrapbooking, so I think I need to take a little break from BOD.
We are headed to Hermosa Pier right now. It is nice to get out of the house once in a while. And then tomorrow we will be going to my parent’s house for a Memorial Day BBQ to just veg. and eat good food. It is nice to spend some quality time with the family.
Anyways, have a wonderful Memorial Day!
Why is that everytime I go to create, my workspace ends up only being this tiny 4×4 area?
Anayways, I am finishing up the last couple weeks of ArtsyMama’s Book of Dreams.
Oh, and the background of the pages that you see, is actually week one of it Try Tuesdays. Here is the blog and this is where you can all the fun stuff at Flickr. I am totally addicted to AlteredDiva’s easy, acrylic background technique.
I will definitely have something to post up the latest by tomorrow afternoon. I’m being working since this morning. It’s like the ideas are pouring out of my head.
Â
So I am in the process of working on week 4 {windows, doors, and niches} of artymama’s book of dreams and I am practically finished with week 2 {layers}. I am skipping week 3 {images}, for now.Â
I cut out a window from my cover and also I cut through about 150 pages to make a shadowbox. It sure was difficult. I had problems cutting at the corners for some reason, and I went through about 5 blades. But the cutting is done, and now I can work on the fun stuff. Originally, I was going to do something with Morpheus: the Greek God of Dreams. who is one of the sons of Hypnos: God of sleep and the Grace known as Aglia or Brightness. But I ended going with this image of sleeping Jesus, by Lavinia Fontana, one of the few active women painters before 1700.  Â

That was actually part a slogan that Den made up for a package of crackers that I made in my packaging design class.  I actually forgot how it went. But it was something to the effect of, East snacker crackers, you mother facter, something, something, you big slacker. Please forgive me, but the class was so long ago.Â
Anwyays, I do feel ike a slacker. I really don’t feel like doing anything. I am slowly working on my BOD project. I feel bad because I am still on week 2 and today is the start of week 4. For some reason, they juices aren’t flowing. Â
We have an hour before we go off to the Greg and Steve concert. Also, I really excited because we finally received the new Canon A700 and now I can go back to being a picture taking fool. It is 6 megapixels, with a 6x zoom. So get ready to be inundated with pictures. Plus, I got a one gig SD. Woohoo!!!
Elden is having so much fun crawling up the stairs, the only problem is when he gets to the top, he is totally stuck. He really doesn’t know what to do. He tries crawling backwards, but he goes the other way, instead of down. Or he just stands there, looking down, making noise.Â
Here is a video of him going up the stairs from yesterday night.

Mr. Brennan went to a “teeth party” today and had his right front central incisor removed today. If you have been reading my blog for a while, you probably read about the history of his teeth problems. I was really hoping that he wouldn’t lose his teeth. I am beyond feeling guilty about it. And what’s done is done.Â
But this was what he had for dinner, proceeded by two gogurts, a sugar-free popsicle stick, and a dozen piles of pirate booty. He can’t have any hard foods for at least 24 hours because of the hole in his mouth. He ended up taking a long two hour nap, which was wonderful at the time, but it resulted in him not going to sleep until fricken midnight.Â

Me on the other hand, had salmon stuffed with crab and shrimp, that I picked up from the grocery store. Den was away at a dinner party. Elden had gobaby yogurt and the chicken and vegetables that Brennan didn’t eat from the soup.Â
