Okee do kee Mike, this entry is for you. I know you like me to mention you, so here it is. I can’t believe your 35th or 36th b-day is coming up so soon. (November 20). And Den’s 38th b-day is coming up on October 24. Holy Moly! We are all getting so freakin old. You really are the greatest brother and I know that we don’t get that sentimental with each other, when we see each other. I am so proud of all your accomplishments. It is nice to be able to go get all my dental cleaning done by you, btw, I am so long overdue for a freakin cleaning. I really appreciate all the advise that you have given me. You are also such a freak, you know. Just to let you know, you can always come to me to talk about anything. I will never judge you. I am hoping one day, you will get me a nice sister-in-law, but you are so happy to be a swinging, single guy. I hope that you win this year’s Fantasy Football. You are so dang obsessed about that crap. I am so looking forward to the day, when you can take your nephews to see a Dodger game, and go golfing with them. Well you know, that Dennis will never take him to a game. LOL! Funny thing though, ever since you came back from the East Coast, we seem to see less of each other. Well next year at this time, we will be living so much more closer, but I am sure, we will still barely see each other.
I hope you are having a wonderful week! See you on Saturday! Love your baby sister!
My littlest man is 2 months and one day. Today was is his checkup. He weighed 12 pounds and 4 1/2 ounces. His height is 23 1/2 inches. I forgot to get his head circumference. Apparently, he is in the 75 percentile. His body is proportionate to his head. I remember with Brennan he was like 75 % in height, but weight and specifically his head was totally off the chart. He was totally disproportionate. Of course, now he is all evened out.
I should post a picture from the weekend, but for some reason, I have misplaced my camera. I know I have it somewhere, but with all the busyness and activities going on, I’m surprised that I haven’t completely lost my head. I wish there was more time to socialize with people, but my kids are really taking up a 100% of my time, so I apologize to anyone if I owe a playdate to, which quite a handful of people.
And apparently, Elden gave Brennan a cough. Elden has already had two colds. The first one Brennan gave him and the second one, which he had last week, I believe he contracted from some old lady that was touching him and coughing on him. It is so freaking annoying that complete strangers come up to him and try to touch him. I know he totally adorable and handsome, but come on people!
I finally got around to buying a few pieces of clothes items for Elden. For the most part, he has been wearing Brennan’s old hand me down. But darnnit, he should have some of his own stuff. Of course, we got a bunch of cute outfits, and a million socks from people, but I like to buy stuff for him as well. I picked him up a pair of pants from Oilily . I bought him the cheapest pair that they had because they are so freakin expensive. Also, their website is so cute. There is not many great websites built in Flash, even now so since the inception of Flash. But they really did a tight job. Anyways, they will be having their sale after Thanksgiving. Then I will be able to buy a couple more things from them.
I also bought a few things from Baby Gap. I so love their stuff as well. Their material seems to be so much more softer and lasts longer than any other clothes. I actually met the lady in charge of the Baby Gap line, a few years ago at my cousin’s wedding in Boston. She was really cool!
So for some reason, both Den and me have been sort of getting on each other’s nerves a bit. Having two kids, really throws things off a bit. The most part is that we have been miscommunicating each other. I know I have been more sensitive than usual, as well as he. We do have an understanding of the situation, which is good. I think the CJ topic about “patience” in the previous entry really sums it all up. We really need to be patient not only of our kids, but of ourselves as well. I feel super bad too because I shrank one his nice new shirts the other day. And also, I practically burnt something the crcokpot last week because I totally forgot that I was cooking something. Like I said, I am surprised that I haven’t lost my mind completely.
I am hoping to start some sort of light exercise regimen starting this week as well. I bought some exercise tubes to do resistence workouts. Also, once we start dropping Brennan off by himself for class, I will also do some walking. I still have my yoga once a week, which I am happy about. I also have to start thinking about which class to take next semester for my MLIS program.
Well, anyways, hopefully I will find my camera soon. I really can’t go that many days without taking pictures of my cuties.
Thanks Mel and Klaudia! How could I have forgotten the George Michaels song? I ended using this song by Juliana Theory for a Circle Journal that I was working on. The topic is on Life Lessons. I chose “patience” as my theme. These are the lyrics:
Will there ever be time enough? Or are we just too naive? I haven’t just given up. Oh God, I still believe. Is patience still waiting? Will I wait on my knees too? Are you laughing at us today? And is this just one big game? Now cash me in while you can. We never were the same. Come on. Will you ever have all you want? And are we just next in line? Don’t throw out your one good chance. You only have this time.

My journaling:
Having children has taught me a lot about being patient. Before they were born, I could do things whenever I wanted to. Now everything is dependent on them. For instance, it takes us twice as long to get ready and to get out of the house. I used to stress over getting to our destination on time, but now I have learned to relax. I have realized that I cannot rush things. I have learned to be patient. I sometimes get so mad and frustrated at my older son because he doesn’t obey me. or when he has temper tantrums. I have begun to barely understand how the mind of a two and half year works. I have learned to be patient and understanding of his needs. Finally, I used to get anxious drinving in the car when my little newborn cried while I was on the rode. Now I have learned that there is not much that I can do, and that I need to just be patient.
Does anyone know any songs that talk about or have the word “patience” in them? And not Guns n’ Roses please.
I really am getting a little burnt out on the whole blog thing. It is taking me too much energy to write anything of real substance. So don’t come here expecting anything exiting. I think I kind of like that it is quiet here.
With that said, Brennan decided that he wanted to sleep in his new Star Wars underwears. Yay Brennan! Now if only he would stop saying that he will poop “next time” in the toilet.
I would definitely NOT want Anderson Cooper’s and Miles O’Brian’s job right now. Uhh!!!
What the heck? It’s raining. I had no clue that was in our forcast. Anyways, I am definitely thinking about the folks that will be hit by Hurricane Rita this week. It reminded of the times that I have been down vacationing in Mexico and we were hit with some huge hurricanes. The storms were fast and furious, but cleared out fairly quickly. There was this huge storm out here that I remember in January, where we had a small typhoon. I remember this because that was the day that I drove out to Scrapbooking Expo and it was freakin hailing on the freeway. I was scared shitless, but pretty determined to get to the Expo. I’m a freak like that.
Anwyays, I was looking at the weather channel and saw this link on how the hurricanes are assigned their names. I had no clue.
