When you are on the run and have no time to stick something in the microwave, grab a banana on your counter that is already turning old like mine and spread some peanut butter on top. Oh so yummy and nutritious.
I thought I would attempt my hand at cooking breakfast for my family this morning. You see, I am terrible at cooking. But I really wanted to show my appreciation, especially to my dear hubby. I pulled out the 2 pound 5 ounce box of premade pancake mix from the cabinet that I bought from the grocery store a couple of days ago. I followed the instructions on the side of the box and mixed a cup of mix with 3/4 cups of water. According to the instructions, that will make about 6-7 pancakes. I poured onto the skillet enough to make 2 small ones, they immediately burned, so I turned down the heat. The next two pancakes took forever to cook because the heat was too low, so I upped the heat again. Then I tried making a couple of large ones, but then I burned those. Then about an hour later, I finally made the perfect pancake.
I am so glad that the boxes come huge like that because I practically used the whole box just for one pancake. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my cooking adventure as well as I did.
Here are a couple of pictures of my boys.
We go through a shitload of diaper genies.

He refused to listen to me about spitting the water, so I gave up and took advantage of the photo opportunity. Cheers!

*Yes that is my perrie bottle. Hey anything works for a fun water toy!*
Here is my little baby. I did this scrap yesterday. After scanning it, I realized that I could put some journaling in the top strips.

I can’t believe it…
Elden has started to make coo sounds when he smiles. He loves to be held and have his butt patted when he is awake. Luckily for us, he pretty much sleeps through the night, except for maybe once or twice during the night. He is awake in the morning, until about 1:00 or so and takes a long nap until early evening. It is nice to have such an even tempered baby.
You know, I think I could have a third child. I am so loving the newborn stage. Of course, I may wait maybe three or perhaps longer. Of course, it is too early to plan another child. For goodness sakes, Elden is only one month.
Oh, I am so excited for March. Not only is March my birthday month, but Dennis booked our annual Yosemite trip. Woo hoo! This year was probably the only year that we didn’t go. We usually go at least twice a year and Brennan has already been there twice. Elden will be 8 months or so. I can’t wait because not only I am I looking forward to going to Yosemite, but I am looking forward to a little family vacation. We haven’t gone anywhere since January.
I will probably be up for another all nighter in attempts to finish some scrap layouts, unless I pass out before then.
My little itty baby, who is not so little anymore is one month today. This month just zoomed by so quickly. He is so adorable and already growing way too fast. And for some reason, I am overwhelmed by emotion when I breastfeed him. It is a weird, but loving feeling.
But I’ve been pulling all nighters so that I can craft and stuff. I tried to work on a layout yesterday, but evidently I’ve lost my mojo. I ended up watching a bunch of crap on tv and then passing out around 5:00 a.m. Everyone was up at 8:00 and totally felt like shit.
My mom did come around 11:30 and we ended going out for lunch at our favorite $5.99 buffet place with the nasty frog legs. Afterwards, we went to BabyrUs and I picked up boob pads and milk bags. I almost bought a new car seat and stroller, but my mom talked me out of it. I sort of want a new one because the Eddie Baeur one that we have weighs like a million pounds. My arm still aches from carrying it.
Uh, I am back to my random writing again. It must be because I am tired and I can’t seem to make much sense. Later!
So I’m just flipping through channels at 2:14 a.m. and making some thank you cards. I love making stuff. Did you know that? I am sure you do, if you read this blog. I don’t think I am particularly talented in what I do, but I sure enjoy it. My art and craft making has evolved so much in the last couple of years. I started in a graphic design program several years ago, but never completed. I took many fine art classes, which has formed a basis in the way I design and create. Okay, I don’t know what my point is in this post. I guess to let you know that I am up late.
Oh tomorrow will be the first day that I will be with the boys all by myself. I am totally frightened!!! Wish me luck that I make it through the day.
Okay, back to flipping through channels, and making more stuff.
