So apparently, Morgan Spurlock, the director of the movie “Supersize Me” has a new tv show on FOX titled “30 Days”. The premise of the show is placing people in a variety of unfamiliar circumstances for 30 days. I am sort of intriqued because I really did like his movie.

Here are some of the episodes.

A conservative straight man tries living with a gay roommate. In another, a mother turns to binge-drinking to send a warning to her daughter.

A wealthy person would discover what it’s like to be poor.

A prosecutor would try a 30-day prison sentence.

And even Spurlock will puts himself to the test by living on minimum wage.

Spurlock was quoted stating that,

One of my favorite episodes is … what’s it like to be a Muslim in America … who is seen every day as a threat to our freedom simply because of their color, their race, their religion,” Spurlock told Reuters in an interview on Monday.

“(It’s) something we deal with every day in America, and we hear about it with terrorism threats every day,” he said.

“We took a fundamentalist Christian from my home state of West Virginia, somebody who is very pro-war, pro-’us versus them,’ that when you hear Muslim the only thing he thinks of is a guy standing on a mountain with an AK-47,” Spurlock said.

The man leaves his wife and children at home and goes to live with a Muslim family in Dearborn, Michigan, home to one of the largest Muslim populations in the United States.

“He dresses as a Muslim, eats as a Muslim, he prays five time a day, he studies the Koran daily, he learns to speak Arabic, he works with an imam, a Muslim cleric, to learn the history of Islam, what are the five pillars, why are they important.”

“And the transformation this guy goes through in 30 days is miraculous, it’s incredible,” Spurlock said.

It is slated to start in June. I forgot what day the commercial said. But again, it sounds interesting and I think I will be watching.

Wow, Brennan went peepee for the first time outside of the house. We were at the grocery store, when he expressed his need to go. His diaper was totally dry. It looks like that the daytime pee training is going great. Now I have to get him wear underwear. I probably should take him to the store, so he can pick out some big boy underwear. Hopefully, soon he will want to start going number 2 in the toilet.

So I have been creating a scrappage a day for this challenge at Leaving Memories for the past two weeks. Well, except for the weekends. So far, I can say that it was been very motivating to participate in this challenge. Before this, I probably had about 10-15 layouts that I actually completed in the last two years, since I started scrapbooking. Most of my time was spent purchasing a bunch of supplies that I really didn’t need. I’ve actually made a huge dent in my supplies. Plus, I have been getting rid of embellishments and papers that I know are not my design style (When I started scrapbooking, I signed up for one of those monthly kits, and I got a bunch of stuff that was basically crap, so now I have been trying to get rid of them all).

I also have come to a slow realization, that I really don’t like that many embellishments and that my design style tends to be simple and clean. But duh, I’ve always designed like that. Way back in my graphic design days. Even when I did work for clients, I had noticed that simple style come through. It’s weird that all of this is coming together now. I’ve always loved designing, but had gotten so burnt out working for clients that only cared about the bottom line = money. I love that with scrapbooking I can do design for myself and also know that what I am creating has more deeper meaning than profits. Oh, I can go on and on about this, but I won’t. I had rather that it be a distant memory.

Doing this daily challenge has also really motivated me to finish other projects that I have started, but not completed. Like the Legoland album that I began last May and still have not finished them up. Also, the Yosemite album. So this week my goal is to complete those two albums, create a layout about my style or my signature, create a layout of Brenann when he was playing in the mud last week (I printed those pictures already), definitely start on the baby announcement card, and create at least two more layouts.

Gosh, I already feel so accomplished.

For some reason, I’m embarrassed that my belly button is starting to stick out. So whenever I see it showing it’s face, I try to pinch it back in. I know I’m weird like that.

So for the past week or two I’ve been getting Braxton Hicks contractions. Although, they are not painful, the tightness is making me feel quite uncomfortable. I really feel like my body can’t stretch out anymore, but unfortunately, I stll have another 8 weeks left. Luckily, I do not have any stretch marks. I thank my mom for great genes.

Let me complain more…

My neck is aching today, my tummy aches, my back is aching, my leg aches, my butt aches, and my right foot aches. Did I mention to you that I am aching. Well, at least my fingers don’t ache. Wait, they are starting to feel achy and puffy. Uhh…

Fortunately, we have absolutely no plans for the entire three day weekend. I really won’t mind if we just lay on the couch all day and night. I will probably just work on some crafty projects here and there, but that’s about it. Maybe we will just go out once or twice.

I just want all the aching to go away…

I am browsing through scrap layouts online and enjoying Twix ice cream. Oh so scrumptious!

While I have a few free moments..

First of all, I finally tried the lime flavored coca cola. Apparently, since we spent $200 in groceries the other day, we got a free 2 liter. I can’t tell if it tastes any different from regular coke. I suppose I should do a side by side taste test. LOL.

Anyways, Nikki tagged me. I feel so special because I don’t remember if I’ve ever been tagged for anything. So here goes.

Total Number of films I own on DVD: My personal collection consists of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, a nude yoga and pilates dvd (which btw is too hilarious to do the exercise because it was so cheesely made), Law and Order the first season, Sade Live (we were actually at the concert that they filmed the dvd at), and I can’t think what else.

The last film I bought: Sponge Bob and Bambi

The last film I watched: Revenge of the Sith

Five films I watch a lot or that mean a lot to me:
First of all, I really don’t watch too many movies. I guess, I’m really not a movie person. But five films that I enjoy are Fear and Loathing, Monsters Inc., Pretty Woman, Grease, and Star Wars.
